Although Nexus is non-profit distributing, to be sustainable it is essential we generate surpluses and build reserves year on year to ensure financial stability. This is especially important in the current economic and political climate; the recession, energy prices and cuts in public expenditure are just three of the challenges currently facing us. Despite these pressures we strive to be at the centre of strong, healthy and active communities.
Our Mission
“With our partners, Nexus Community’s mission is to manage and provide a range of accessible leisure activities and facilities to increase participation and create healthy lifestyles within our local communities. Our passion to deliver social benefit is our motivation to succeed.”
Although Nexus is an independent company, making profits to pay owners and shareholders does not apply – all “profits” are used to further our charitable objects. For all our staff, business improvement and growth means more resources can be allocated to improving the quality of life of everyone in the communities we serve.
