Community Leisure Card - Frequently asked questions
General
I have never been a member of the leisure centres. How will becoming a member benefit me?
At least five bouts of activity of a minimum of 30 minutes are recommended every week. These can include lifestyle activities such as walking or gardening but should include three sporting activities per week e.g. gym, swimming, squash or five-a-side.
The benefits of regular exercise include increased energy levels, weight loss, improved flexibility, reduced stress levels and a healthier heart.
We provide a number of membership options to suit your requirements and lifestyle. However, so many alternatives may be a little confusing. The main things for you to consider are what activities you want to enjoy, how often and at what time.
