Arts and Crafts
Our arts and crafts activities develop basic skills such as coordination,imagination and concentration. Every holiday, our leaders will guide the children in using a variety of materials and develop ideas based on appropriate themes. We will offer simple craft projects for young children, and ideas that will interest older kids. Some activities just take 10 or 15 minutes, others could take hours or perhaps even days depending on complexity and interest. Some of the craft projects can get a bit messy, but the children love these ideas!
We work to encourage creativity. Try not to have expectations of how the finished art works should look, often children see the world from a different point of view. Crafting offers a chance to see the world through children's eyes. When working on a project with young children, we will try not to do identical craft projects. Children need time to develop the creative skills without being discouraged by comparisons to adult projects.
