About Nexus

Nexus Community is a division of GLL. Nexus means connected, hub, centre or focal point and we want to be at the centre of the communities we serve.

We manage leisure facilities and services in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire and we aim to provide accessible, exciting and popular activities to everyone that lives and works in our areas.

Every single time you take part in an activity with us, you are personally investing in improving the service and the facilities we provide. This is because we are a non-profit distributing independent company that returns any surpluses to the facilities and services we manage.

We combine private sector entrepreneurial flair with a strong public sector commitment (ie we are part of the Third Sector). We work with local councils, schools, colleges, health providers and community groups in many different ways but always with partnership as a core component.  We are, in all respects, a social enterprise with almost all our income (circa £15m per annum) derived from trading rather than grant funding.

Our people make us what we are and we have incredible people working across all areas of our business. Our excellent reputation is built on their commitment and enthusiasm and our focus on training and personal development.
